(This message was added in version 6.7.0.) in /home1/bdmackey/public_html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 6121A question came up in the Linkd In Group for Club Revit <\/a>\u00a0about creating a single roof with a gable end that would basically go underneath itself to attach back to a wall. \u00a0I thought I would do a\u00a0post to\u00a0my simple response, so that I can get a bit more detailed in the explanation.<\/p>\n The first step is to create a roof by footprint, personally I would\u00a0use the\u00a0Pick Walls tool for this situation.\u00a0 Uncheck the defines slope option to get the gable ends as needed.\u00a0 Finish the roof when done<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n This doesn’t\u00a0alone dosen’t\u00a0get the small\u00a0gable end roof to come back under itself to attach to the wall.\u00a0 It also doesn’t automatically take the walls up to the roof.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n I chose to model another wall above the other and make it the full length of the roof, and then attach that wall to the roof.\u00a0 This way I have something to Join the roof to.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The next step is to use the Roof Join\/Unjoin command located on the Geometry panel of the Modify Tab on the ribbon.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Pick on the edge of the roof that needs to Join to the wall and then pick on the wall.<\/p>\n<\/a>
